Where Liposuction and Micro Liposuction differ is in the size of the surgical instruments. In both types of liposuction, the main instruments are the cannula and the aspirator. The cannula is a thin tube used to suck out the unwanted fat, while the aspirator is the device that applies the vacuum. The Lidocaine doubles up as an anti-bacterial agent, reducing the likelihood of infections. The micro cannula is moved to-and-fro, either mechanically or manually, to loosen and then extract fatty tissue.
